Healthy homemade dog treats are easy to make. These recipes include natural ingredients and are wheat-free for dogs with a food allergy.

Baked biscuits are great any time of year and the frozen treats will be delightfully cool on a hot summer day.
WHEAT-FREE BISCUITS

Ingredients
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 1 low-sodium beef stock cube
- 1/4 cup of flax seed
- 1 medium/large beaten egg
- 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup of hot water
- Some flaxseed or oatmeal to roll out the treats in.
Directions
Turn oven on at 325 degrees.
- Add the stock cube to the hot water to dissolve.
- Mix together the dry ingredients, and add the egg.
- Slowly add the stock and mix until you have formed a dough. You may not need all the stock for this.
- Lift the dough out onto a board with flour/oatmeal on it and roll it out to about 1cm thick.
- Use a sharp knife to cut into small pieces or biscuit shapes.
- Place on non-stick tray and bake in the oven for 13 to 16 minutes. Take them out and let them cool.
APPLE CUBES

Ingredients
- Low-sodium chicken broth
- Apples
- Water
- Ice cube tray
Directions
- Chop apples and place bits into ice cube tray.
- Dilute the low-sodium chicken stock with water.
- Fill each cube section holding the apple bits with the diluted broth.
PUMPKIN CUBES

Ingredients
- Ice cube tray
- Can of pumpkin puree
Directions
- Fill each section of the ice cube tray with the pumpkin.
Serve after a few hours for a softer treat, but keep some in the freezer because they are good to have available for an upset tummy.
