DOYLESTOWN, PA, June 28, 2019— Doylestown Veterinary Hospital & Holistic Pet Care announced that Dr. Brittany Sembler has joined the hospital team as a full-time associate veterinarian. Dr. Sembler comes from another small animal veterinary practice in Bucks County where she spent a year focused on basic surgeries, diagnostics and dental care.
“Doylestown Veterinary Hospital and Holistic Pet Care offers a unique aspect of multi-modal medicine that no other practice in the area has to offer, balancing holistic and conventional approaches to give patients the best care possible. I’m looking forward to working with the hospital team to give our clients exceptional care,” she said.
Dr. Sembler is a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and received her undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College. Her areas of focus include dentistry, dermatology and behavior.
“We are excited to have Dr. Sembler join our team this summer. As our practice continues to grow, she brings enthusiasm to building relationships with clients for the life-long care of their pets. Dr. Sembler is also passionate about learning and addressing important areas of care, such as dentistry, which are vital to overall wellness in pet care today. She will be an asset to our clients for years to come,” said Drs. Randy and Laura Weis, owners of Doylestown Veterinary Hospital & Holistic Pet Care.
Dr. Sembler enjoys partnering with pet parents to provide care that can make a difference in the overall health of the pet or resolve a stressful family situation. She likes teaching pet parents about how routine dental care at home can help avoid serious medical problems.
“Every day is rewarding. Performing dental procedures makes an obvious difference. Turning an unhealthy mouth into one that is beautiful is very satisfying work,” she remarked.
Dr. Sembler is a Bucks County native from Washington Crossing. She and her fiancé have three cats: Gideon, Gamma & Beta. When Dr. Sembler is not caring for clients, she enjoys hiking, and creating jewelry. She also paints masquerade masks, a hobby that began as an art class project in high school.
“Painting the masks is such a fun thing to do. I made my first mask for a high school dance, and I still enjoy creating them as gifts or when my friends ask for a particular design,” she added.
